Zillow is out with their prediction for the top 10 hottest markets in 2023 and Charlotte took the top spot.

Hot & Cold. Anushna Prakash, economic data analyst at Zillow, noted that while this is a top 10 list for hottest markets this year will be much cooler than years prior. “This year’s hottest markets will feel much chillier than they did a year ago…The desire to move hasn’t changed, but both buyers and sellers are frozen in place by higher mortgage rates, slowing the housing market to a crawl.”
The Times They Are a-Changin. Highlighting the quickly changing market only four markets from last year’s top 10 made this year’s list.
